Our Charity Play on 7 June is “Dumb Show” by Joe Penhall, in the Abbey Theatre Studio and all tickets are £10. Tickets available at the Oxfam Bookshop, Catherine St, and Oxfam Fleetville shop, Hatfield Rd. You can also email on oxfamstalbans1@gmail.com or text 07941 311324.

About the play: In a luxury hotel, hot-shot private bankers John and Jane are plying TV personality Barry with equal parts outrageous flattery and vintage champagne, both of which he finds irresistible. The pair cajole him into revealing some of the seamier aspects of his off-camera life”. The Guardian says that ‘Penhall simply exposes the seamy side of tabloid journalism and suggests its readers are complicit in its infectious celebrity-baiting’.

All about us: We are a group of volunteers based in and around St. Albans working to fundraise, campaign and support the work of Oxfam on various projects across the globe.

Our key activity is the organisation of the St. Albans Herts Hike, now becoming the “Oxfam Walk for Water” with a variety of routes starting from Heartwood Forest in Sandridge, St. Albans.
