The incinerator application was given the green light by Herts County Council on October 24th. County councillors voted 11-4 in favour of it. Most in favour being Conservative councillors who live very far from Hatfield. Six thousand local people did object however, so much for localism!
It is possible that the DCLG will call in the decision for scrutiny however, so there is still hope. there is also a new consultation running until December, which can be commented on.
