Fix Our Streets

The Fix My Street website is a great way to tell the council about an issue, share the issue with others, and then track its progress through the website. It’s also free to use.

Fix my Street isn’t for every matter though, but it can be used for reporting things which are broken or dirty or damaged or dumped, and need fixing, cleaning or clearing, such as:

  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Dog Fouling
  • Flyposting or graffiti
  • Flytipping or litter
  • Streetcleaning, such as broken glass in a cycle lane
  • Unlit lamposts
  • Potholes

You can report a problem in our area by clicking this link and following the instructions.

The feed section of the Fixmystreet website for Welwyn Hatfield is currently broken, they have been made aware of this. You can still search on our area directly using the link above.

Ignore the below for the time being.

The last 15 Fix My Street reports tagged as in the WHBC boundary area can be seen below:

  • Tue, 12 Dec 2017 23:31:20 +0000: Stop Line very worn people keep running this red light, 12th December - New problems within Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council's boundary on FixMyStreet
Twice in one day coming from different directions saw drivers run red lights at this junction. Direction is A1000 from Hatfield towards Potters Bar, junction with Church Road. Only reason I can see for this is the stop line is faded. I can provide the videos of both events if required. I rarely drive down here and to see it twice in one day it must be happening more often and this is the only reason I can see for the confusion and idiocy exhibited and surely not long before someone comes a cropper.

There are two parts of trees across Kentish Lane near The Lodge which are blocking half of the carriageway on each side of the road thus causing this busy road to be single lane at this point. If approaching from the Welwyn side, this suddenly appears on going around a blind bend.

  • Mon, 11 Dec 2017 20:30:38 +0000: Over parking, personal safety., 11th December - New problems within Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council's boundary on FixMyStreet
I have lived here for 15 years, the last 2 years have been the worse I work for the nhs and work shifts most late shifts I come home and have no where to park anywhere near my house, I have been followed twice parking up on bishops rise and walking down. We have a layby for parking but everyone parks with big gaps so we loose probably 3 if not 4 spaces. I believe permits would be the way to go forward but if the the highway council would come and paint lines for spaces within this layby it would improve the situation with a cheap and fast answer. Thank you
